Life Membership was awarded to Peter Jeffery and Gaynor Holliday at the GBH Inc AGM December 2024.
Both Peter and Gaynor have volunteered in many positions involved with the Golf Club and continue to do so. Peter and Gaynor are active golfers.
Peter has been involved with GBH for over 28 years, (previously involved with SBH Golf Club) - 23 years involvement as GBH Men's Captain which is amazing, Match and Greens and all other things Golf related. Peter has and is heavily involved in coaching Junior Golf, Programming Events, Handicapping, compiling daily results, organising Pennant Teams, Rules Training, assisting with Ladies coaching and many other voluntary activities that benefit our members and the Golf Club. This is a snippet of Peter's involvement, you will see Peter's friendly face at GBH nearly every day.
Gaynor has volunteered for over 30 years, as Ladies Captain, Vice Captain, Ladies Committee, Ladies Secretary, Ladies Match and Greens etc. Gaynor is an active GBH Inc Board Member for over 22 years and current, has been Company Secretary for over 11 years and current, Gaynor was the first female President of GBH Inc and held that position for 6 years. 9 years with GBH Management Committee and still current, heavily involved in Governance, Grant Writing, GA Community Instructor, Sponsorship, Programming Major Events. Negotiated Golf Course ownership for the members, works voluntarily at weddings and functions.
